Jim Shaw, 41, Chandler
Republican — Incumbent, Oklahoma House District 32
Shaw has represented House District 32 since November 2024, after defeating then-incumbent Rep. Kevin Wallace — at the time chair of the House Appropriations and Budget Committee — in the August 2024 Republican primary runoff with 54 percent of the vote. Because no other candidates filed, the runoff decided the seat. An Oklahoma City native and Putnam City High School graduate, Shaw earned a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from Oklahoma State University in 2006 and is an entrepreneur in the oil and gas industry. He and his wife have two daughters and live in Chandler. At the Capitol, Shaw serves as vice chair of the State Powers Committee and sits on the Appropriations and Budget Natural Resources Subcommittee, the Government Modernization and Technology Committee, and the Government Oversight Committee. His House biography lists opposing the expansion of industrial wind and solar energy projects and preventing foreign ownership of Oklahoma land as his primary policy focus.
