The Stillwater Pioneer Marching Band and the Perkins-Tryon Midnight Regiment each earned finalist honors Saturday at the Deer Creek Marching Invitational in Edmond, and both turned in their highest scores yet at the competition.
Stillwater placed third overall in the evening finals with a score of 81.325. Perkins-Tryon placed seventh with a 74.25. Southmoore High School won the event. Finals are open to the top 12 bands of the day, regardless of school size.
