The possibility many Oklahoma State delegates might have dreaded came to fruition Wednesday.

Center Parsa Fallah announced on Instagram that he had suffered a torn ACL late in OSU’s 91-84 win against West Virginia in Gallagher-Iba Arena on Tuesday night.

That was the fear when Fallah went for a transition dunk and collapsed on the court after landing with 5.5 seconds remaining. Now, it’s a reality.

“I didn’t know last night would be the last time I’d step on that floor this season,” Fallah wrote on Instagram. “If I did, I would have stayed a little longer… listened to the crowd a little louder… played every second like it would never happen again. When I went down, I wasn’t crying because of the pain. I was crying because I knew it might’ve been the last time I played on that court.

“Earlier today, tests confirmed that I suffered a torn ACL in my left knee, officially ending my season.”

Shortly after, OSU coach Steve Lutz quote-tweeted Fallah on X, thanking him for his year of service to the program.

“We love you and are proud of you @theparsafallah,” he wrote.

The news comes shortly after the Cowboys (17-11, 5-10 Big 12) ended a five-game losing streak while trying to surge late in contention for an NCAA Tournament berth. Now, with a rigorous three-game slate awaiting, OSU will lean on 6-foot-11 sophomore Anrdija Vukovic and 6-foot-10 freshman Ben Ahmed to anchor the paint.

Fallah, a 6-foot-10, 250-pound center from Iran, transferred to OSU after spending the prior two seasons at Oregon State. In one season with the Cowboys, he has swiftly cemented himself as one of their offensive anchors and most-efficient scorers.

Fallah is averaging 14.7 points and six rebounds per game while shooting 59.8% from the floor through 26.4 minutes this season. In OSU's win against the Mountaineers on Tuesday, Fallah finished with a team-high 18 points to go with eight rebounds.

“I don’t know what the future holds,” Fallah posted on Instagram. “But I know this: I love you, Oklahoma State. I love you, Stillwater. Always a Cowboy.”
