The Lady Pioneers battled hard in their annual Pink Out game Tuesday night but couldn’t overcome a late Mustang surge, falling in a 7–0 decision at home.

Stillwater honored breast cancer awareness month by wearing special hot pink uniforms. The team showed early promise when Callé Cox (24) singled in the first inning and swiped second base, but the Pioneers couldn’t bring her around to score.

Grace Tonga (4) doubled in the later innings and also shined in the circle, striking out four over 5.1 innings while keeping Mustang’s bats mostly quiet. She handed the ball to Sai Kolone (14), who added three strikeouts in relief.

The turning point came in the sixth inning, when Mustang strung together key hits — including a home run — to plate seven runs and take control.

Defensively, Jaelynn Wilhelm (8) anchored the field with five putouts, highlighting Stillwater’s determination despite the setback.

The Lady Pioneers will look to regroup and build momentum heading into their next matchup against the P-T Lady Demons away in Perkins on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
