From the moment of the opening bout, Oklahoma State dominated.
No. 5 OSU rolled past No. 18 Missouri 33-3 on Friday at the Hearnes Center in Columbia, courtesy of a night unabridged of stellar offense, sound defense and complete and utter dominance. OSU surrendered only one takedown on the night, as the Cowboys clinched nine of 10 bouts, with three of those wins coming in bonus-point fashion.
With the win, the Cowboys (10-1) have now logged at least 30 team points for the sixth time this season, and clinched a double-digit win total for the second time in as many seasons under coach David Taylor.
Here are three takeaways from the dual.

Bonus points set the tone for OSU onslaught
Per the usual, it started at 125 with Troy Spratley.
Leading 24th-ranked Mack Mauger of Missouri by only 6 points heading into the final period, the seventh-ranked Spratley ignited down the stretch. Three takedowns, a stall and escape point lifted him to a 19-5 major decision, falling just short of a tech fall in the bout’s winding seconds.
From that point on, it was all OSU.
Freshman 133-pounder Jax Forrest utilized his third of five redshirt dates. But it worked in his favor, as the 14th-ranked Forrest cruised to a bonus-point victory against No. 26 Gage Walker of Missouri.

By the end of the first period, Forrest had logged two takedowns and 6 combined near-fall points to take a 12-1 advantage. Less than a minute later, a takedown and escape point clinched a 16-1 tech fall for Forrest. As of Friday, the first-year prospect has posted two bonus-point wins in his first two matches as a Cowboy.
And it didn’t stop there.

At 141, it took second-ranked Sergio Vega just 1:32 to bully his way to a pin of Missouri’s Ethan Mendoza. The freshman wrestler improved to 10-0 this season and earned his second victory-by-fall of January.
By then, the Cowboys led 15-0. Slowly but surely, the Hearnes Center began emptying.
Robideau downs former Cowboy, Teague Travis
The 157-pound bout headlined Friday's dual. With good reason, too.
Former OSU 149-pound starter Teague Travis transferred to Missouri in December after losing his spot to freshman Landon Robideau. During his weekly media availability Wednesday, David Taylor declined to comment in depth on the unfamiliarity of seeing Travis suit up in an opposing singlet.

A takedown in the first period gave the sixth-ranked Robideau an early lead he wouldn’t relinquish. Shortly after, an escape and riding-time point clinched a 5-0 decision in favor of Robideau against No. 16 Travis.
Friday marked only the third time this year Robideau hasn’t clinched bonus points, but in the end, it sufficed. It also marked his first shutout win of the season.

After the match, a sentimental Taylor greeted Travis matside with a handshake and a hug. The two exchanged words before both returned to their respective benches, and the dual went on.
Facundo earns top-10 win
Since December, Alex Facundo’s stock has skyrocketed. That trend prolonged in Columbia.

In perhaps what was Friday’s main event at 174, the seventh-ranked Facundo downed No. 10 Cam Steed of Missouri via a 2-1 decision. Facundo didn’t showcase his flashy offensive as he has in past bouts, but strategic moves and stellar defense guided him to another ranked win amid a brutal slate.
The road ahead for Facundo doesn't ease up, either. But for now, his recent success is establishing him as one of the dominant wrestlers within the 174-pound weight class.
