The Big 12 Wrestling Championships are this weekend, and now the brackets are set.
On Monday afternoon, the Big 12 Conference released seedings for the event, which takes place Friday-Saturday at the BOK Center in Tulsa. None of OSU’s 10 starters garnered a seeding below No. 3 in their respective weight class.
The Cowboys claimed six No. 1 seeds, which include Troy Spratley (125), Jax Forrest (133), Sergio Vega (141), Casey Swiderski (149), Dee Lockett (165) and Alex Facundo (174). OSU also earned No. 2 seeds with Landon Robideau at 157, Zack Ryder at 184 and Konner Doucet at heavyweight. Cody Merrill is the third-seeded wrestler at 197.

OSU is looking for its second-straight Big 12 title under coach David Taylor. A season ago, the Cowboys clinched their first in four years with 153.5 team points, narrowly escaping second-place Northern Iowa by 4. Wyatt Hendrickson was OSU’s lone conference champion at heavyweight.
The opening round for the Big 12 Wrestling Championships begins Friday at 10 a.m. Doors at the BOK Center will open one hour prior to opening bouts.
